Out and About | Lake Macquarie Newcastle | Tweed Ballina | Batemans Bay | Liverpool PPC’s:

This term I have had the pleasure of attended a number of fabulous meetings - breakfast meetings, PPC meetings, Conferences and ZOOM meetings. I have valued the opportunity to share business of the Association as well as hear from the ground the issues contextually arising as well as being encouraged by the ‘solution focused’ attitude. It was indeed a joy to be ‘in the room’ together – connecting with colleagues. Some of the highlights have included: panel sessions with other State Executive Liaisons, virtual ‘on country’ experiences, supporting colleagues and taking positive action forward, gaining insight into PPC and context specific issues, channelling information in and taking new information forward into the DoE meetings that followed and of course opportunities to connect with colleagues over a meal or refreshment.

I can also now truly relate to ‘cancelled flights’ ‘delayed flights’ AND lost luggage. I am now the proud recipient of a ‘Qantas Kit’ from Qantas Link in lieu of luggage not arriving – having said that, it was such a positive experience in so many ways – there was lots of laughter –connecting with and meeting THE MOST generous and kind colleagues and local businesses AND an unexpected purchase of a new outfit !!.

We are ever reminded about the importance of the relationships we build and connections we make with each other. It is the lens we see things through, be they little things or the huge events in our lives. It is ALWAYS about who we walk with, professionally and personally.

The NSWPPA State Executive and I appreciate the opportunities we have to share expertise and spend time with you in their role as Executive Liaisons. Looking forward to catching up with you in Term 3 and Term 4.
