Our colleagues in Lismore, Ballina and Tweed Heads continue to face the challenges of recovery and rebuilding. With subsequent deluges of rain, our thoughts and strong support remains with them all –their communities, staff and students. We continue to stand with them during the recovery and rebuild period.

 Emerging issues present and I have been forwarding these issues to relevant personnel for follow up. I have to say the JOY that has been expressed by colleagues collectively from the SCHOOLS FOR SCHOOLS initiative has been marvellous to hear. The connection, care and kindness expressed by many parties has been a real bright spot. THANK YOU to everyone involved – this initiative is one about relationships. Never underestimate the power of being seen and heard by your colleagues. Minister Mitchell is keen to follow up with colleagues in this area. I will be contacting Delegates this week.

Michael Trist, Phil Seymour and I are joining our North Coast colleagues this week at their conference. A brilliant opportunity for these colleagues to connect – certainly a much needed connection indeed.
